The College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU) is dedicated to promoting advanced education and research in veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, and related disciplines. This college comprises several well-equipped departments, each focused on specific areas of veterinary and animal sciences, including Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Microbiology, Animal Nutrition, and Animal Production. These departments are equipped with modern laboratories and infrastructure that facilitate comprehensive practical training and research opportunities for students.
At the undergraduate level, the college offers a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH), which is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in veterinary medicine and animal care. The program emphasizes hands-on experience in clinical practices, diagnostics, and treatment protocols, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to address the health and welfare of animals. The current intake capacity for the BVSc & AH program is set at 60 students per academic session, reflecting the growing demand for trained professionals in the field.
